There are few friends who keep asking about we should write this, here is short overview..
It was an evening, about 6:30 pm. There was a person who was standing at bus stop outside Borivli Railway Station waiting for his regular bus. A lady came and asked him, "Which bus should i take to go to Don Bosco?". The person recommended a particular bus. She said “Thanks” to him and she moved 5-10 steps
Again she asked another person, "Which bus should i take to go to Don Bosco from here?", the person simply replied "I dont' know". She replied "Ok" and she asked one more person, which got her the same reply as the first person This confirmed the bus number to her!!
There was a software engineer, who was standing and watching all this. He thought it would be amazing if people had information about Bus routes at their fingertips. He tried to analyze the real problem. Information is available about bus routes in "Booklets which were available for Rs. 10 or 15" , The information was also available on websites but not many people knew about that and it is definately not practical for all to access website to find bus number.
He kept on asking people about it and eventually realized, it would be great if this information could be made available on the Mobile phone. Almost everyone has a mobile phone, and one can access this information any time, any where, even at BusStop (where it is most needed)
